The American Lodge of Research contributed to New York Freemasonry’s celebration of the Marquis de Lafayette last night by hosting Bro. Chris Ruli, author of Brother Lafayette.

The Magpie Mason is an obscure journalist in the Craft who writes, with occasional flashes of superficial cleverness, about Freemasonry’s current events and history; literature and art; philosophy and pipe smoking. He is Worshipful Master of The American Lodge of Research in New York; is a Past Master of New Jersey Lodge of Masonic Research and Education 1786; and also is at labor in Virginia’s Civil War Lodge of Research 1865. He is a past president of the lamented Masonic Society as well.

WM...I would like to become involved with ALR and am interested in the table lodge (if possible) and visiting at the Annual Meeting upcoming. I used the form on the website to communicate, but haven't heard back (and I'm not sure it actually went anywhere).
I've been unable to find contact information for the Secretary on the GL or ALR pages, or I would reach out to him. Are you able to advise? Many thanks.
Hi Thomas,
The ALR’s membership info is here:

If I’m not mistaken, you are a new MM? Then I’d rather see you focusing on your lodge for the foreseeable future, but there’s no harm in attending our meetings. Our Installation will be Monday, June 30 on the tenth floor.
WM: Oh, my own lodge is definitely top priority, thanks for the caution there. I very much appreciate your reply. Thanks, and I hope I can meet you on the 30th.
