If a cigar burns in a forest, and no one is around to smoke it, does it make a sweet aroma?
Welcome to the first Magpie Mason post concerning the Tall Cedars of Lebanon. This is prompted by news of a TCL Forest announcing a Halloween visit to a cigar bar—and I’m goin’.

I’m a Prophet in Grotto and am a former Shriner and a Sciot*, but I’ve never been a Tall Cedar. (If I’m not mistaken, my grandfather was a member in the 1970s.) And I ain’t joining now, but there’s no harm in smoking in this Forest.
I remember, when I was a newly raised Mason, leisurely driving through Easton one weekend and passing a charming old school temple. I assume that’s where Easton Lodge 152 meets, and Forest 35 too. I’ll swing by again that afternoon on the way to Famous Smoke Shop.
Maybe see you there.
*I had demitted from both c. 2005 to get on the scoreboard in the Knights of the North’s Demit Combat Contest. “Ah youth, youth!”
